Ealing Arts and Culture Forum - Borough of Culture 2019 - OPEN Ealing

Ealing Arts and Culture Forum – Borough of Culture 2019

22 Sep Ealing Arts and Culture Forum – Borough of Culture 2019

join us in the bid proposal for the development of Artistic Content in the Borough of Culture programme.

As you may already be aware, the Mayor’s Office has launched the Borough of Culture Programme 2019 and 2020.

All London Boroughs are invited to apply.

The Borough of Culture is inspired by the UK City and European Capital of Culture Programmes. The London Borough of Culture is an award that will enable the winning boroughs to put culture at the heart of community, celebrating what is unique and distinctive about the place, creativity and character of their part of London.

The maximum grant available is just over £1m to be matched from a variety of sources. The programme has to be more than ‘business as usual’ but creative and inspiring with moments of creative magic which contribute to a step change for place and location and of course legacy, importantly delivering on wider social outcomes for the borough. Only local authorities can apply, however, the proposal will need to shine a light on the wealth of artistic and creative activities already happening in the borough as well as new showcase activities. It is a highly competitive process but we think with your help we have a winning case.

The event is taking place at Orchard Cafeon Wednesday 27th September 2017 from 3.30 -5.30pm.

Orchard Cafe, Singapore Road, West Ealing, W13 0EP(Please see link below of the location of Orchard Cafe)

We have a limited 50 places, please do get in touch with us ASAP. If numbers are tight we may have to limit this to one representative per organisation. Artists and Creatives encouraged to attend. There will be another larger event in October.

We are arranging a series of workshops to help shape the themes and content for a truly stunning programme for Ealing. These workshops will involve a range of stakeholders, partners and creatives.

Tea and Coffee will be available.

I would appreciate it if you could confirm your attendance, please email us to RSVP asap to Manny Manoharan at mmanoharan@ealing.gov.uk and Fatima Rana at RanaFa@ealing.gov.uk
