A fun and exploratory course to inspire and develop ideas and creative skills through the medium of fashion illustration.


Studying the human figure, establishing a template and experimenting with different ways of drawing/painting in a fashion context. The course includes studying fabric, colour, movement accessories, textiles as well as touching on history of illustration.

Learn traditional techniques and apply them in your own individual style.


Join us on Sunday 14 May for a day’s insight into this fascinating world. The cafe will be open so we can eat and drink too!

Registration and morning coffee is available from 9.15 to 9.45am

Equipment: we shall supply a layout pad for each participant and appropriate materials so all you have to bring is yourselves.


About the Tutor:  Helen Trevisiol

03d39947-ff76-4867-98f2-cc99323b2f6bHelen started her fashion career working as an illustrator for a couturier in Mayfair and then lived in India for a year working for a fashion company called Spicy as sole designer. Career moves via Chelsea Girl, River Island and M & S suppliers followed leading to an executive position as Product Development Controller of River Island.

Since 1996 she has run her own consultancy business with clients including RI, Arcadia group { Top shop, Dorothy Perkins, Racing Green}, Evans,Windsmoor, Alexon and several European Fabric mills alongside agency-based illustrative work.  Helen was invited to be guest lecturer at Cheltenham, Leicester, Loughborough and St Martins  fashion BA courses and have been external judge at The International Wool Secretariat. She was voted on as an active member of The British Textile Colour group. She graduated with BA Hons in Fashion/Textiles.

Many of you will know of Helen via her two retail outlets located in Northfields Avenue, Darch and Duff. These two design led gift shops selling cards,lifestyle gifts, childrens gifts etc. were mainstays of the Northfields shopping experience for 18 years.
