tricks for trees, woodlands and meadows
Saturday 2 & Sunday 3 June
11am – 3pm
If you thought watercolour was just a very traditional, boring painting process, think again…
Today, thanks to the vast range of materials and techniques available, the possibilities with watercolour are vast. This weekend course will show you how to experiment with different mediums and brushes as well as teaching you exciting – and slightly unpredictable! – techniques such as wet-into-wet painting.
We will focus on creating beautiful paintings of trees, woodlands and meadows. Learn what colour mixes work for bark, branches and leaves and build up a painting of a lovely bluebell wood. We will also loosen up your watercolour technique by learning how to paint colourful meadows popping with vibrant poppies. A refreshing break from the tightness and control needed for many types of watercolour painting!
