18 Mar Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year
Competition Closes in 2 weeks!
With the deadlines for both competition’s fast approaching, we wanted to let you know that entries for this year’s Portrait Artist of the Year close two weeks today on FRIDAY 1 APRIL.
Please remember you must submit a self-portrait produced within the last five years, at least one additional painting and a passport style photograph of yourself. The additional picture can be a portrait, but could equally be a still life, abstract or landscape.
The judges love seeing a wide variety of styles, materials and compositions. The judges will select the artists for this year’s competitions after seeing their work on a screen, so we urge you to take the best photograph you can of your self-portrait. All photos must be at least 750KB in size. For more tips on how to photograph your art, please visit the guide on Sky Arts’ website.
This year’s heats for Portrait Artist of the Year will take place at the Wallace Collection in London. The gallery boosts a superb selection of paintings and provides a ready source of inspiration for the artists chosen to take part. Click here to see the paintings on display.
