Stories of Women ~ with Jennifer Farmer

12 Aug Stories of Women ~ with Jennifer Farmer

The 2nd event in the Stories of Women series is nearly upon us! Devised and organised by Spirited Bodies, it will be on August 21st, again at the Feminist Library (close to Elephant & Castle/Waterloo) – see flyer attached.

This time the wonderful Jennifer Farmer will be modelling and presenting her story. Some of you may know her – she is a very experienced model as well as performance artist, and playwright (https://www.jenniferfarmer.co.uk/)
We will be discussing intersectionality – what it means to be an ‘othered’ model, and also the ways that modelling may inspire performance. There is of course a chance to try modelling, and lots of time to draw, if that’s your thing.

Here is a ticket link – https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-stories-of-women-with-jennifer-tickets-35508330372 – though it’s also fine to pay on the door.

And then 2 days later Esther takes Spirited Bodies to the Edinburgh Fringe festival, in collaboration with local organisation – All The Young Nudes. If you happen to be in town, please join us – https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-stories-of-women-with-jennifer-tickets-35508330372  – and this is a mixed event, with about 10 models creating themed poses to a DJ set.
