the Depot Open Weekend at London Transport Museum

30 Aug the Depot Open Weekend at London Transport Museum

London Transport Museum has a working Museum Depot in Acton, which is opened up to the
public twice a year. They are offering free tickets to users of OPEN Ealing aged 5-18 and their parents/guardians free tickets to the Depot Open Weekend on September 10 & 11, to take part in a parkour workshop with the incredible Urban Playground, and watch their STEAM LOCAL LINE performance. There are two workshops an hour long each day, split by age group (5 – 10, 11 – 18). We have reserved 8 free places on each workshop, available on a first come first served basis.
Urban Playground Team

Depot 2
(UPG Team) is the original performance-parkour company and they have been invited to perform their show STEAM, which takes audiences on a whistle-stop tour through a story inspired by silent movies, the Wild West and James Bond, using urban & contemporary dance with authentic French Free-Running. The team will also be performing an entirely new scene, as yet unformed, inspired by the particular surroundings of LT’s Depot.
Exclusive opportunity for young people from local community:

Depot 3
UPG Team will be performing four times over the weekend, at 12.00 and 15.00 on each day. After each half an
hour performance they will be facilitating a workshop lasting one hour – and inviting young people from the
audience to join them on their dance structure, giving a fun introduction to the art form that is parkour. Each
workshop will be open to up to 24 young people between the ages of 5 – 18.

Details are as follows:
 Workshop 1 on Saturday 24 or Sunday 25 (12.30 – 13.30) aimed at participants aged 5 – 10
